For over 20 years, I have poured into the lives of others in the fields of education and counseling.
More importantly, however, I have built into the lives of my family as a wife, a mom, and now a "mimi." I am a helper, and my heart's desire is to add value to other people. This passion has led me to counseling, coaching, educational consulting and teaching. (Please contact me if I can be of service to you and your team!)

Being a Guidance Counselor in a Christian School was never on my radar as I grew up, or even as I went through college. I didn't know what I wanted to do professionally! I had a "counselor" inside of me, but I was also loved kids and was drawn to teaching. After bopping back and forth from an education major to a psychology major, I ended up with an undergraduate degree in psychology. Honestly, this degree didn't allow me counsel or teach...bummer.
Soon after I graduated from college, I married my husband Jeff and we started a family. I stayed home (working all kinds of crazy jobs from home) with our three girls. When our youngest was ready to enter kindergarten, I decided to go to school too. I got my teacher certification and started teaching at the middle school level.
Fast forward five years...having continued my education toward getting a master's degree in Christian Counseling, and continued training in Biblical Counseling. I had the opportunity to become a guidance counselor in Christian schools while ministering as a Biblical Counselor in my church. What a concept! God opened the door for me to teach and counsel! Isn't it wonderful how God takes our interests, aptitudes, experiences, and passions and dovetails it all together? As a result, I have had the privilege of pouring into the lives of students in four different Christian schools in addition to having a Biblical Counseling Ministry for over 30 years.
As I mentioned, Jeff and I have terrific three girls who are all grown and married to wonderful godly men. We also have eleven grandchildren. I think that being a "Mimi" is one of life's greatest blessings and I am thoroughly enjoying this season. "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children (and grandchildren) are walking in the truth." (3 John 1:4)
